ATTENTION LOCAL RIDERS - TEST YOURSELF AGAINST THE BEST!!

If you are interested in competing, the PKRA Thailand event organizer will be holding a PKRA Asian event before the PKRA International event.  This pre-event will be March 11-14. The top 2 male and top 2 female finishers will automatically be entered in the main event of the PKRA International freestyle competition!
This event will be run by the PKRA international judges and a PKRA contest director which means the highest quality of judging.
PKRA Asia event will have a freestyle discipline as the qualifier discipline as well as non-qualifying competitions for course racing and high jump.
There will be cash and kite equipment prizes for all winners, so make sure you enter for some good fun, great prizes, and the chance to compete with the best in the world!

The entry fee for this event is $50 us.  This event is to promote this sport in Asia, to develop new talent and to encourage Asian riders to compete.  Therefore, for all the Asian citizens that will compete in the PKRA Asian competition, their $50 fee will cover BOTH the PKRA Asia event and the entry fee for the first round of the PKRA International event on March 15th.

 We appreciate everybody's understanding with helping us include as many Asian riders as possible and to promote this sport to Asian riders !

Hua Hin is conveniently located about 2 1/2 hours south of Bangkok.

Easiest way to get to Hua Hin is by regular taxi or minivan. Average taxi fairs from Bangkok airport to Hua Hin are:
Standard taxi: 3,000 baht. (aproximately 65 Euros)
Minivan taxi: 5,000 baht. (aproximately 110 Euros)

Because competitors will be arriving at different times and because of the ease of getting to Hua Hin, there will not be a shuttle provided from the organization, however they will arrange safe and inexpensive minivans to book through them for 2,500 baht (aproximately 55 Euros) to take you directly to Hua Hin.

Alternatively you can take a taxi to the Southern Bus Terminal and take a government bus to hua hin or take a taxi to the 'Victory Monument' SkyTrain (BTS) station and get a minibus to Hua Hin.

The PKRA kicks off its 2010 season in Hua Hin, Thailand.  Thailand's legendary beaches, friendly people and its delicious spicy food and make this the perfect place to host Asia's first Pro Kiteboarding event.

The registration day is Sunday March 14. Monday, March 15 through Saturday, March 20 the top riders in the world will compete in this Grand Slam event, featuring Freestyle, Course Racing, and Board Off disciplines.  It will be the first professional kiteboarding event in Asia in the history of the sport, and it promises to be a new beginning for the sport in the region, as it is expected to become an annual kiteboarding mega-event in Thailand.
